From pole position to the first triumph of the season: star on the road to success with VERVA Lechner Racing Team

26-05-2014

Elmshorn, Germany, 26 May 2014 – Deserved victory for Kuba Giermaziak at the Porsche Supercup in Monte Carlo: the driver of the VERVA Lechner Racing Team, which is sponsored again this year by star petrol stations, comfortably wins the race at the Monaco Formula 1 track, earning his team their first victory of the season. The team’s second driver, Ben Barker, finishes in a solid fifth place.

At this early stage of the season, the strong performances of both drivers on the Côte d’Azur help the team to secure top spot in the team standings. Giermaziak, who has been racing since the age of eight, tasted success in Monte Carlo last year with a second place finish, and has gone one better this year with this deserved victory. The Supercup has been a permanent fixture of the Formula 1 World Championship since 1993 and the races are held on the same tracks.

Wieslaw Milkiewicz, the Managing Director and Press Officer of ORLEN Deutschland GmbH, extends his congratulations to the team: “we congratulate Kuba Giermaziak and the whole team on the deserved victory in Monte Carlo. This once again confirms that we have backed the right team.”
