June 2023 - Excitement until the last match day: By winning away from home in
the 34th game of the 2022/23 Handball Bundesliga season at Frisch Auf Göppingen
(34:27), record champion THW Kiel once again secured the German championship.
It is the 23rd national title in club history. ORLEN Deutschland, a partner of
the Zebras for more than ten years and the main and shirt sponsor since 2016,
warmly and proudly congratulates the team of head coach Filip Jícha on this
triumph."It's impressive to see the dedication with which
the team has pursued the goal of the championship throughout the season, and is
once again demonstrating its exceptional position in German handball. Now that
we have won the title, we have two reasons to celebrate this year: The THW Kiel
Championship and our 20th company anniversary," says Dariusz Pawlik, Chief

After the win in Göppingen, the team headed straight
home to celebrate the title with their fans at their home Wunderino Arena in
Kiel on Sunday night. Main sponsor ORLEN thanks the players who will leave the
club at the end of the season for their commitment and wishes them all the best
for the future.
The Zebras will compete in the ORLEN star Cup on
August 20th, before THW will compete in the first mandatory match of the
upcoming season as the German champion at the 2023 Super Cup. The preparatory
tournament is the conclusion of the Kiel teams´ season preparation, with the
opponents being Handball Sport Verein Hamburg and Polish Champions League
competitor ORLEN Wisła Płock. Tickets for the ORLEN star Cup at the Wunderino
Arena in Kiel are available from 3rd July at www.thw-tickets.de. With the ORLEN star Cup, ORLEN Deutschland is
extending its more than ten years of involvement with the German handball
record champions, including the main and jersey sponsorship since 2016.
