With a completely new station in
Lampertheim and a new building in Hamburg, ORLEN Deutschland is continuing its
strategy of expanding and modernising its network of fuel stations. A
state-of-the-art fuel station has been built on an open space in the industrial
area of Lampertheim in Hesse. In Hamburg-Billstedt, the previous station was
demolished and replaced by a larger fuel station, with additional open spaces.
Since construction began in February 2025, a
state-of-the-art fuel station under the star brand has been built on over 6,000
m2 on Industriestraße in Lampertheim. The large shop area covers around 80 m².
Since the beginning of August, customers have been able to enjoy a wide
selection of food throughout the day, including a variety of hot and cold
snacks such as burgers, freshly made sandwiches, bockwurst sausages and
croissants. In addition, the shop offers a diverse range of own-brand products.
These are sold under the star brand, which belongs to the group, and impress
with their high quality and fair prices. The product range includes the popular
star Energy Drink, star apple spritzer and various types of bars. Customers
will find all common fuels at the three fuel pumps, which are accessible from
both sides.
AdBlue and HVO100 climate-friendly diesel are also
available. HVO100 (hydrotreated vegetable oils) is produced from residual and
waste materials (vegetable oils) and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up
to 90 percent. Furthermore, this alternative diesel fuel burns more cleanly and
has a positive effect on air quality by reducing pollutant emissions. HVO100 is
suitable for diesel vehicles without conversion that have been approved by the
vehicle manufacturer – which is almost all vehicle models nowadays.
In addition, the new star station in Lampertheim
offers a large car wash hall with state-of-the-art vehicle and resource-saving
technology. Approximately 80% of the water used in the washing process is
recycled and reused via modern water recovery systems. Two vacuum cleaners,
each with two suction pipes for cleaning the interior of vehicles, and a tyre
pressure testing station complete the range of services. In addition, two
fast-charging stations with four charging points and a charging speed of up to
300kW are planned for the spacious site. These will be installed and connected
to the local power grid in a few weeks.

Hamburg: Wider range of products
Following the
demolition of the previous fuel station on Wöhlerstraße in Hamburg, additional
open space was added, allowing the range of services offered at the new star
station to be expanded. The shop and bistro area was enlarged to 80 square
metres, and the station was equipped with a modern, water-saving drive-through
car wash (previously there was a gantry car wash) and additional fuel pumps,
which now also offer HVO100. In addition, after a year of construction, the
station now offers an electric charging station with two charging points and 120
kW maximum charging speed for electric vehicles.
‘With these two
openings, we are completing two very exciting projects that are now going into
operation. The locations have been equipped with state-of-the-art refuelling
technology and offer our customers first-class products and services for all
their mobility needs,’ says Simon Annuseit, Head of Technique at ORLEN Deutschland.
About ORLEN Deutschland GmbH
ORLEN Deutschland GmbH was founded in March 2003. It is a 100 per cent subsidiary of the Polish multi-energy group ORLEN S.A. and part of the international ORLEN Group. The company currently operates over 600 ORLEN and star filling stations on the German market. ORLEN Deutschland GmbH, based in Elmshorn, is one of the ten largest filling station operators in Germany and is involved in a wide range of sports and cultural sponsorship activities (e.g. handball, winter sports, music festivals).
In keeping with the claim “Moving forward together”, ORLEN and star filling stations offer high-quality fuels as well as their own shop products at an attractive price-performance ratio. ORLEN Deutschland is increasingly focussing on the expansion of electromobility offerings, alternative, sustainable fuels and the environmentally friendly use of resources. Customers receive additional services such as car washing, ATM and package services at many stations. Filling stations with 'star café' and 'stop.café’ invite customers to take a break in a feel-good atmosphere and offer coffee specialties throughout the day, a wide selection of food, as well as hot and cold snacks.
ORLEN S.A. further expanded its market position in the DACH region at the beginning of 2024 with the acquisition of Turmöl fuel stations. With over 260 stations, ORLEN has a market share of around 10% in Austria, making it one of the three largest owners of fuel station networks in the country.
