Elmshorn, 13 April 2016 – the latest awards show that star petrol stations stand for more than affordable petrol: The petrol station brand was able to win over customers in the "Berlin's favourites" award as well as in the price-performance winner ranking in the YouGov BrandIndex 2016, taking second and third place, respectively.
After significantly increasing its market presence last year by taking over 13 other petrol stations in Berlin, the star brand is becoming increasingly popular with Berliners. star obtained over 17 per cent of the more than 2,400 votes cast in the category "petrol stations" in the "Berlin's favourites" ranking, thus taking second place. The award is presented to the most popular businesses and service providers in the capital by the daily newspaper Berliner Morgenpost in cooperation with the analysis institute, ServiceValue. A total of 3,400 voted for their favourites in 23 industries.
star also scores on a national level. In the price-performance winner ranking of the YouGov BrandIndex 2016, star gained 19.6 points in the category "petrol stations", thereby taking third place. The likeable brand thus outperformed twelve other petrol station brands. The YouGov BrandIndex is calculated in cooperation with the Handelsblatt through approximately 700,000 representative online interviews. The survey polls the popularity of brands among Germans using six evaluation criteria, including the perceived price-performance ratio.
